CD102 is a type 1 integral membrane glycoprotein of 60 kDa. It is known as the InterCellular Adhesion Molecule-2 (ICAM-2) which is one of the counter-receptors for the Leukocyte Function associated Antigen-1 (LFA-1). This antigen is mainly expressed on the cell surface of endothelial cells but is also found at lower levels on platelets and subpopulations of lymphocytes and monocytes. BT-1 antibody blocks cellular adhesion which is mediated by ICAM-2.
