The CDw90 antigen (Thy-1) is a Glycosyl-Phosphatidyl-Inositol (GPI)-anchored glycoprotein. It is a member of the Ig superfamily, limited to a single Ig-V-like domain on the extracellular side of the membrane with two glycosylation sites. This antigen is expressed on prothymocytes and on a subpopulation of bone marrow progenitor cells. It is also expressed in brain tissues.
