The CD9 molecule (p24) is a 24 kDa single-chain protein with 4 transmembrane domains. It is expressed by monocytes, platelets, pre-B cells, eosinophils, basophils and activated T cells. It is involved in the aggregation of platelets. ALB6 antibody was evaluated during the Third International Workshop on Human Leukocyte Differentiation Antigens.
