The COULTER Z1 Is The Next Logical Step In Particle Counting Technology.

Coulter has long been the industry standard in particle counting technology. We revolutionized the science of hematology over a quarter of a century ago when the manual cell counting method was superseded by Coulter's volumetric counting and sizing instruments. Now the Coulter Z1 takes the process one step further.

This Fully Automated System Is More Than Simple To Use, It's Almost Impossible To Misuse.

The Z1 was specifically designed for simple operation. Just enter the upper and lower thresholds* (in size or volume units) on the keyboard, press START, and a count is completed in seconds. Clear messages on the LCD display lead you through all set-up and analysis functions. Calibration requires only a couple of keystrokes and correct settings are computed and set automatically. For advanced applications, the Z1 also allows manual setting of current and gain for optimal analysis of unusual samples.

The Z1 Eliminates Calibration Drift.

The constant current feature of the Z1 eliminates calibration drift due to changes in electrolyte conductivity and temperature, a common problem with other particle counting instruments.

Enjoy Precise Sampling And Environmentally Safe Operation.

The Z1 incorporates a unique, new oil displacement pump which delivers a high degree of accuracy and precision, within +/- 1% in a measured sample, and eliminates the need for mercury utilized in the traditional mercury manometers. Consequently, the danger of mercury spills is eliminated.

A Small Footprint Saves Precious Lab Space.

In a crowded environment, the Z1 doesn't take more than its share of room. The main unit requires just one square foot of bench, and the small keypad with display can be placed wherever it's convenient.

The Z1 Offers Choices Of Data Type To Fit Your Application.

With the Z1, data can be viewed in either count or concentration format. To get concentration of the original sample prior to dilution, no calculations are necessary - just enter the dilution factor and the original concentration will automatically be reported. Particle counts above the lower threshold, above the upper threshold or between thresholds are all available.

You Have A Choice Of Output Options.

The Z1 also offers you a choice of hard copy output from a complete analysis per run to a line-by-line presentation completely formatted (including parameters and column headings) to simplify later analysis comparisons.

Fully Automated Means Faster Analysis And Operation.

With the automation the Z1 offers, the time from set-up to results is significantly reduced, which means more analyses per day. That can have a very positive effect on your laboratory's efficiency.

The COULTER Z1 Can Quickly And Accurately Measure Particles From Algae to Zooplankton.

The Z1 is perfect for all your particle counting tasks.
