Hi all,
As an alternative to nucleases you might try compounds such as bleomycin,
EMS (ethyl methane sulphonate, I think) or MMS (methyl methane sulphonate,
I think). A person here uses MMS on murine erythroid leukemic cells with
good results. I've seen mixed results with nucleases. Some people lose
substantial amounts of DNA.
