Section 13

Clinical/Proposed Consensus Protocols

Why is there very little material in this section? We have requested material from literally dozens of clinical labs. While many promised to provide something, most did not do so! Clinical cytometry is a very important component of our science, and it is one that needs more and more critical discussion. The Purdue Cytometry CD-ROM series will publish a volume every 6 months. This is an ideal medium to use for consensus protocols, presentation of preliminary data, discussion of problems with methods and clinical trials, etc. Most of this type of material is not suited to journals such as Cytometry until it is critically evaluated, reviewed, repeated and consensus agreed upon. This takes a long period of time, and there must be some venu for presentation of the data. We propose that such data be regularly presented on this CD series. At the appropriate time, the data will be published in the scientific journals.

Consider how you can contribute to this section of the CD-ROM series. If there are people out there who would be interested in moderating a section on the CD-ROM in future, please contact me at the email address below.
