We never found real proof at Twente that depolarization could
identify the basophils although we never look into that for a longer
period of time. Maybe Leon did some work on it at B-D, I am not sure
of that.
You're right about the degranulization of basophils, I think the book
by Bessis even discribes that demi water is able to disolve
basophilic granules.
