I am posting this on behalf of of Brian Monahan: Please reply to the
cytometry server as he has access only via the web version. Thanks

Could you direct me to a person I could ask a question
regarding cell cycle analysis. I have completed a drug exposure
experiment with the MCF-7 cell line and completed a cell cycle
analysis
using PI staining with the BD CellFit analysis software on our FACSort
machine. The data quality was good, however I am unsure as to selecing
the best model to fit to the data. The data demonstrates a large
number of cells ( >50%) are in the g2/M arrest phase. The CellFit
softtware though doesn't seem to adequately model cell populations
that have a large G2/M component. What is the most generally accepted
way to treat an analysis of a cell culture whose cells are largely in
G2/M phase using the BD CellFit software ?
