Thanks for your responses! I have since gotten another suggestion
from a fellow cytometrist who is also growing MATB III. He has noted
that dispersal is especially problematic if cultures are permitted get
too heavy, ("too mature", as he says) where one is supporting very
large aggregates, for they are much more difficult to disperse. He
suggests keeping the cultures very well-maintained, where the
aggregates are small. This plus any more suggestions that you may
continue to add may do the trick!
