A major question raised at this workshop was:what is the incidence of
monoclonal B cell lymphocytosis (with and without CD5 expression)? It is
my impression that most clincal flow cytometry labs encounter or find B-CLL
like clones in asymptomatic individuals with only a slightly elevated or
normal absloute lymphocye count from time to time. How frequent is this?
Age and sex?
I would be interested in knowing how widespread this phemnomena is. Are
there a sufficient number of such individuals to warrent a report? Could a
cohort be followed over time? How are these individuals being followed
presently? Will compile responses later. Thank you. gemarti
