I am trying to determine the market value of an EPICS C flow cytometer
that was purchased in 1986. The instrument will be minus a workstation
but will include epinet software. It has always been under a service
contract and is currently only occasionally used for sorting. Also we
use a FACScan for our clinical work. Any comments on whether timing is
appropriate for a computer upgrade from the HP 310 to the HP 340. Please
read between the lines.

Also, is anyone in the business of purchasing and renovating these
instruments for resale?
