I have a question that perhaps only BD can answer, but I'll share with the
rest of the group for your comments.
When retrofitting replacement sheath and waste tanks for the BD Facscan what
is the largest size container that can be used?
The idea that we had was to use a large pressure vessel ( 3 US Gal., approx
12 L) as a replacement for the sheath tank. Then to use a plastic carboy or
some smaller volume (preferably transparent) for the waste. This way we
could fill the instrument once a day and if the waste became full we'd know
that the sheath should be topped off.
I am concerned about the size of the pressure vessel and the ability of the
Facscan to maintain the correct pressure with a large sheath tank.
Does anyone have any ideas or experiences with this?
