We also have done away with the FACScan normal sheath tanks and replaced them
with a few 25litre plastic tanks which previously held cleaning detergent. The
tanks have been in use for more that one year now with no serious problems.
When the instrument is under heavy usage this allows it to operate flatout with
no stopping to change the tanks. One word of caution, don't let a sample tube
fill up when the instrument is switched off and the fluid control is left on run
as it is possible to siphon 25 litres of sheath into the waste tanks!
