FACScan supply tanks

I have bypassed the standard supply tanks on the FACScan and
solved a number of problems, not the least of which is that I
only have to fill the tanks about once or twice a week. I ordered
the same tubing fittings that BD uses to hook the sheath and waste tank
into the FACScan (Colder Products Company).
I then brought the lines to the outside of the
machine and hooked up to two 10 liter stainless steel pressure
vessels (like the waste tank on the FACStar Plus). One is waste
and one is sheath supply and as long as you make sure you attend
to them both at the same time you won't have any problems. The only
other modification I made was to jumper the connection which reads
the sheath level to prevent it from showing that there was no fluid
in the sheath. My only caution on this is for those who are under
warranty or service contract, these modifications may be viewed as
unacceptable and reason for voiding your contract.
