laser selection advice

hello there !!!

I am about to purchase a new BD cell sorter for use in a core facility
and are in the process in selecting the lasers.

As the primary laser, I think an air-cooled Ar laser would suffice for
>90% of the time. For the secondary laser I am considering the Coherent
SPERCTRUM laser. Does anyone have any experience using this laser. Has
anyone used it with TxR and/or APC, INDO-1 (at UV) or any comnbination
of these. I would like to use this instead of purchasing a dye laser.
Has anyone used the SPECTRUM as a pump source for a dye laser?

Any advice on these issues would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again...
