Try looking for a local trout farm.
This solved all our problems. If you have someone who can take blood
from fish that's great but we found stunning followed by
decapitaion allowed plenty of material to be collected. One small
trout kept us going a couple of years for several hundred samples
(plus a free lunch - our local supplier was happy to help free of
charge).
Preparation is the same as for storing test samples for the
Vindelov method. We also had a guy in the lab who kept
chickens..........
