Paul Robinson and James Slattery asked me what the cost was. I have
Grapevine's permission to state the prices of tubes and my installation.
Installation and especially travel will, of course, vary depending on
details of instrument and travel distance from Texas. Tube prices are for a
Coherent Innova 90-5 (argon). I had a brand new tube from Coherent
installed since this laser would be primarily used for UV and I wanted a top
notch tube for this to obtain the best lifetime. Price of this tube was
$11,850.00. Warranty is 1yr/1500hrs. They will also sell a new tube
without the UV spec and with a 2yr warranty for $7,500. They will also sell
a rebuilt tube (no UV guarantee again) for $7,500. For my site,
installation was $550 and travel was $1,200. I could have packed it and
sent it to Texas for $300 less. During the installation other problems were
identified with the laser and these were fixed as well. I have been very
pleased wiht Grapevine's service and recommend them highly. Call Richard
Ballard at Grapevine at 817-488-3137 to confirm that I have stated this all
correctly and for quotes. Also mention to Richard that you were referred by me.

Let me know if anybody has anything better.

Larry
