Brass and Graphite Particle Detection

Dear Friends,
I was wondering whether it would be possible to detect brass and/or
graphite particles in a suspension via flow cytometric means.
Certainly, you could detect them via light scatter, but is there a way
to discriminate brass or graphite particles from other particles
possessing the same light scatter properties? I would appreciate your
help on this matter greatly!
