Rochelle:

We have a Coulter Elite which I have networked to a 486DX2-66 PC on my desk,
using Windows for Workgroups 3.11 (WFW). I use WFW to share the Elite
listmode directory, and move my listmode files over to the PC on my desk.
There I compress the listmode files using PKZIP (available as freeware); I
get 30-40% compression on most listmode files. PKZIP allows me to save all
of the listmode files from one experiment as a single "exp#".zip file. I
then move the .zip files to 150 MB Bernoulli disks, using the Omega 150 MB
Multi-disk drive on my desk PC.

This may be slightly more expensive than the OMEGA Zip drives - I think that
the drive costs around $500 and the disks are $85 apiece - but you get more
storage capacity. OMEGA now makes a 230 MB Bernoulli drive.
