Pop Quiz:

1. What does the "G" stand for in G0, G1 and G2?

2. What defines a G0 cell? Abscence of proliferation and cells without
S-phase DNA content? Over what period of time?

3. Has the G0 state been defined at the the molecular level in reference
to known cell cycle regulatory proteins? Is it defined as a cell
expressing p16, p21, KIP1 and/or 2? Unphosphorylated Rb? Abscence
of cyclins? All of the above?

4. Whatever happened to the designation Gq (q = quiesent) to distinguish
from "true" G0? (Where's Lyle Dethelson?)
