If your HP is a 310, then your hardware options are limited to either HPIB
or RS232 serial. (or a very expensive ethernet card)
If you're desperate enough, the data COULD be transferred over serial line,
but it would take forever.
Cheap, though - freeware Kermit both ends, a cable...
If the HP is a 340, then you already have the ethernet hardware, and maybe
you could borrow FACSnet software for long enough to transfer the old data.
(from BD as part of the upgrade deal...?)
I don't think there is an HPIB interface available for Mac, but I could be
wrong.
Another option to consider is to put an HPIB card in a PC; Verity has a
transfer program to move data over such a link, I'm sure there are others
available as well.
Assuming you will be connecting the Mac and the PC to some sort of network,
it will then be a small step to get the data to the Mac.
One added benefit of this is you could then use the HP Paintjet with the PC!
HPIB cards are still cheaper then colour printers (but maybe not for long..)
Good Luck, Joseph.
