Not so, EndLink is used to translate INPUT files (from medline etc) into
endnote format. EndNote itself is a standalone program that allows you to
enter (manually), and maintain a database, it will also export that
database in the format of your choice, and will process papers producing
citations and bibliography without any intervention.
You can write your own routines for format translation (in hypercard or
excel for instance), or use your word processor to insert control keywords
if you don't want to buy endlink.
