Dear Steve:

My experience has been limited to Reference Manager and ProCite. I
used these in MacIntosh format but I believe that they are both available
in Windows version also. I eventually chose to go with ProCite bcause eit
doesn't limit you to configuring one single database like Reference
Manager does. I didn't really like this idea for a multiple
user laboratory and so I chose ProCite instead.

ProCite allows you to import references from Reference Update, Medline
format databases such as Silver Platter and so forth. It appears to be
compatible with most all bibliographic sources. I found it quite
versatile and satisfied my criteria of being able to extract and or save
individual databases for different users and subjects.

Sincerely,

Michael Weaver
