As many other people have pointed out, its a good idea to check which
filter is in the SSC detector. We use a 440 short pass and get excellent
signals.

If you are using low power UV and a small percentage beam splitter the
signal may be low. We use 200-300mW UV (FACStar+) with the standard beam
splitter, but this can be changed if you want to enhance your SSC signal.
