The University of Michigan Medical Center is seeking an experienced flow
cytometrist to manage a high volume research core flow facility. The successful
candidate will (among other duties) supervise the daily functions of the Core,
oversee necessary (currently 2) FTEs, advise investigators on all aspects of
flow cytometry including hardware, software, experimental design, and data
analysis, perform data analysis, and maintain instrumentation, data archives,
and budgets. Instrumentation currently includes an Epics Elite ESP with 4
lasers and an Epics C, along with 3 DOS based computer workstations. Software
includes MultiCycle, MultiTime, Multi2D, ModFit, WinList, CricketGraph, Excel,
and others. This facility services the entire campus (approximately 70
investigators annually) and performs a broad range of flow cytometric
applications on a wide range of cell and particle types.

Qualifications

Education: Minimum BS or BA in a health science or engineering field, or
equivalent related experience.

Experience: Desire 4-5 years flow cytometry experience, including multi-color,
multi-laser analyses, metabolic activity, and sterile sorting and
cloning, on human and non-human cells and particles, preferably
with Coulter and IBM instrumentation. Management experience
strongly desired.

Salary: Competitive, dependent on qualifications.
