Marcia=Woda%Facs%UMASS@banyan.ummed.edu asked the following on Thu Aug 10:

I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has had even moderate success
performing batch file analysis and printing with the Cellquest program. I
have beeen told to stay away from this Quick Keys program. We have just set
up a Mac. Thanks.

QuicKeys really is the answer and it's not as difficult as it may seem at
first. Having worked with QuicKeys for some time I have now perfected the
step sequences needed for batch processing of CELLQuest data files. I
programme the keyboard function key F1 for unattended batch processing with
printouts (the sequence asks you how many tubes to process), and F2 for
attended batch processing that halts just prior to each printing step to
allow visual inspection of the plots (for gate / marker alteration). I have
now run the sequences many times, on different Macs with no problems at all.

The real advantage over a batch analysis using MouseTracks ( LYSYS II) is
that once recorded the sequence is universal for all CELLQuest documents as
it pays no regard to the position of plots / stats within the document. Also
the Mac file structure does not limit batch file handling to data files that
increment numerically (i.e. DATA001 DATA002 etc) - it will simply process
the number of files you request regardless of the file name.

Regretfully, the QuicKeys sequences cannot be loaded from one Mac to another
via disk transfer (they copy but don't work for some reason). However, I have
a simple step by step sequence protocol that I will gladly fax to anyone
requesting it.
