Higher Sensitivity

Does anyone know a way to increase fluorescence sensitivity when dealing
with surface antigens in low numbers?

My self and Dr. Gary Michels have been investigating growth factor
receptors on osteosarcoma cells using flow cytometry. We have been using
a conventional monoclonal mouse-anti receptor antibody and FITC goat-anti
mouse secondary antibody. Since the receptor density per cell is less
than five hundred, there is only a small shift in fluorescence between the
positive and negative control samples.

I have heard there are methods using a triple antibody biotin avidin
combination, but that is all. Can anyone help?
