Used FACScans, revisited

I'm still looking for a used FACScan...I've got a couple possibles, but I'm
cconcerned with the age of some of these instruments -- not so much for
reliability issues but more for generational differences. Any responses,
however, will be appreciated.

This also leads naturally to the question; what. if any, are the significant
differences between a >5 year old FACScan and a < 4 year old? (considering
electronics, PMTs, filters, signal processing, whatever...) Perhaps someone
has an opinion? Or is it insignificant...and all worked out in the software?

MAK.
