Synovial fluid analysis

Does anyone out there have experience in preparing and analysing surface
markers on mononuclear cells from synovial fluid? We have had some
difficulties in getting a decent prep, and would appreciate pointers/tricks
involved in getting a clean prep to stain and analyse by flow. All
contributions gratefully accepted.
