Polysciences 2 micron beads excite fairly well in the UV and also at 488.
They have excellent CVs of around 1.5% when excited at 488, about 2% with UV
excitation. The only problem is that they are small, so light scatter
signals are not similar to cells, if that is important to you. However, they
are inexpensive and you get an extremely high concentration that lasts
forever.
