Los Alamos Fires

In answer to the inquiry of Alice Givan.

The fires near the Los Alamos Labs are now 75% under containment and no
laboratory facilities received damaged, although the fires did come
within a few miles of some more remote sites of the Lab. The fire
destroyed more than 18,000 square acres close to the Laboratory and
Bandelier National Monument. New Mexico had a very dry winter and I am
afraid there is the potent for more forest fires unless we get some
rain very soon.

Thanks to everyone for their calls and concerns.

Harry
