The Flow Cytometry Lab in the Dept of Pathology at UT Southwestern Medical
Center, (Dallas, Texas) has an opening for a Medical Technologist with flow
cytometry experience. We are uniquely qualified to provide "state-of-the-
art" flow cytometry and cellular immunology services in the North Texas area.
The laboratory, which is a joint venture between Parkland Memorial Hospital
and UT Southwestern provides:

Immunophenotyping and Immunodeficiency Workups:
* Three color analysis coordinated with microscopic evaluation of
the analyzed cells
* Identification and characterization of all cell populations
within a specimen including populations that comprise as few as
1% (or less) of total cells
* Identification of gene rearrangements where indicated by the
Laboratory for Molecular Diagnostics

Expanded Reports:
* Color multiparameter dot plot profiles, indicating all
significant populations of the submitted specimen
* Selected photomicrographs of the analyzed cells
* A thorough pathologist interpretation
* Preliminary reports available within 24 hrs

The laboratory co-directors bring with them renowned expertise in the areas
of flow cytometry and immunopathology. The laboratory is staffed with ASCP
registered technologists with a combined experience of 17 years in flow
cytometry.

Our open position requires basic computer knowledge, good communication
skills, knowledge of cellular immunology techniques, flow cytometry
instrumentation, and hematology.
