The BD FACS 440 I worked with (a long time ago....)had a set of
polarisation filters (which I never used..)
As I remember it, each of the three polarisers was permanently fixed in
a standard filter holder, and there was a coloured glass filter mounted
in front of the polariser.
The filter holder is exactly the same as those used in the Vantage.
I think the coloured filter was something like LP500, intended to pass
FITC fluorescence and block 488 laser light.
I'm sure the colour filter could be easily removed from the holder (and
maybe replaced with something else) if you wanted to look at different
wavelengths, but you would have to be careful not to disturb the
orientation of the polarisation filter.
