Our INOVA has a second tube in it which is 6 years old now and is
still lasing at 488nm and longer BUT does not reach UV lengths
anymore. The Coulter people told us that with time (PARTICULARLY IN
TIMES OF INACTIVITY) gases will diffuse into the tube (oxygen)
resulting in increased pressure and deposits on the mirrors which
will reduce efficiency and the ability to lase at increasingly
shorter wavelengths. The best thing you can do is to set it up and
run it as much as possible and if it isn't too far gone, then you may
still get 488nm lines out of it which is fine for alot of
applications. Replacement costs being what they are, it might be
something to consider.

Best of luck!
