First of all, I would ask Howard's last question again -- why is co-linear
excitation important???
On the subject of the beads....quite often bead manufacturers call certain
beads by an accepted designation (i.e., FITC, PE, H33342, etc.), when in
actuallity, these beads are not labeled with these fluorochromes, only an
alternative dye with "similar" characteristics. Example...most "FITC" beads
are in fact labeled with coumarin. Be sure your beads are actually H33342 --
MAK.
