Ray:

I have a 570 running ACAS software version 3.2. With this version you can
change your stored image file format from MII (Meridian custom) to TIFF in the
File Menu/iMg file format option on the opening screen. This is easily
imported into Photoshop or Corel Draw. If you have older ACAS software, you
only have the MII storage format so you need to know the header length (i.e.,
offset to your image data). Dan Towson at Meridian Instruments can provide you
with all of the file format offsets for the various file types (single/dual
image, line scans, point scans, etc.). There's also a PC program called
Hijaak (about $100, I think) that has been mentioned before on this mailer that
will convert various image file formats, such as TIFF, PICT, etc. You might
find this program useful as well.......

Categories:

Several of the investigators using our Meridian ACAS 570 image analysis
system want to export/convert their data to analysis programs more
flexible than those available from Meridian.

For example, they would like to convert line scan data so that it can
be analyzed with Lotus, SigmaPlot, etc., to provide quantitative analysis.

Others would like to take the image files and convert to Corel Draw or Adobe.

Is there anyone with an ACAS 570 who has faced and overcome these
problems? If so, we would sure like to hear from you.

Thanks.

Ray
