After multiple requests,
and assuming that TP3 is intended to be To - Pro 3(TM) iodide :

Its excitation maximum is at 642 nm (eg. the 633 nm line of a red HeNe
laser) with a molar extinction coefficient of 102,000. Its emission maximum,
if bound to DNA, is at 661 nm. The dye is part of the carbocyanine family;
it is not cell membrane permeant. It may intercalate between DNA base pairs,
but other modes of nucleic acid binding cannot be excluded. Little is known
about selectivity of the dye for either DNA or RNA ((1994) Cytometry 17, 185
- 189). Likewise, I am not aware of any information concerning base pair
selectivity. Bromodeoxyuridine incorporation enhances To - Pro - 3
fluorescence ((1994) Cytometry 17, 310 -318).

The dye is available as a 1 mM solution in DMSO from Molecular Probes, Inc.
Eugene, OR 97402, TEL : (503) 465 - 8300; catalog number: T - 3605.

Hoping this may help you,
