Dear all,

I am on the look-out for a suitable potential position to consider
moving on to, at the end of my period with Tufts University Medical School
in Boston, MA, USA. Thus, for your collective enlightenment & edification
(?) if you, or anyone you know of, is considering hiring an experienced
Flow Cytometry specialist in the near future, a brief resume now follows:-

1966-1971: Friends' School, Saffron Walden, Essex, England.
Qualifications: 'O'-Levels: English; Maths; Biology; Physics;
French; History.

1971-1975: Braintree College of Further Education, Essex, England.
Qualifications: 'O'-Level: Chemistry.
'A'-Levels: Biology; Physics; Chemistry.

1975-1978: University of East Anglia, Norwich, England.
Qualification: B.Sc. (hons) Biological Sciences: II(1).

1978-1984: Biology Dept., University of Essex, Colchester, England.
Qualification: Ph.D. Microbiology.

1984-1987: Various temporary positions, culminating in a post as
Records Assistant for the Suffolk Biological Resource Centre, writing
biological database software for the IBM-PC.

1987-1994: Immunology Division, Pathology Department, Cambridge
University, Tennis Court Road, Cambridge, CB2 1QP, England.
Research Associate in charge of the Flow Cytometry facility.
Equipment: Ortho Cytofluorograph 50-H twin-laser sorter; Ortho 2151
computer; two FACScans; two FACSmates; four H-P.340 computer systems;
IBM-PS/2 computer; FACSnet; IBM mainframe with Internet access; etc..

1994-1995: Pathology Dept., Tufts University Medical School, 136

Research Assistant Professor on the Faculty with a one year
contract as Chief of Operations of the Flow Cytometry facility.
Equipment: FACStar Plus twin-laser sorter; H-P.310 & Micro-Vax
computers; FACScan; H-P.340 computer; 486-PC computer linked to Banyan
(infonet) LAN, to Vax servers, to the Internet & World Wide Web.

Research experience & training:-

Flow Cytometry: all aspects (esp. BDIS products), including cell
sorting, trouble-shooting, computing, etc.; Management & operation of
sophisticated laboratory facilities, including finances & billing users
for services; Communication & liasion with other scientists, technicians,
administrators, companies, etc.; Research: experimental design,
execution, data aquisition, analysis & presentation, etc.; Microbiology:
all aspects, including chemostat fermentor design, construction &
operation; Computing: all aspects, including security systems; Teaching,
help & supervision of other scientists, students & technicians;

Other qualifications:-

U.S. & U.K. driving licences.
