EPICS 752/Gated Amp

Our institution has a Coulter EPICS 752 (modified from an EPICS V). We do
not use, nor have we ever used the dye pump laser. I do find that I need
some hands on, easy to understand, application oriented instruction on use
of the gated amplifier for use as a descriminator.
I called Coulter and they wanted to give me the physics behinds its use and
at the moment I just want to be told, "push the button, change this setting,
now do this, now do that." I am hoping to find a user in this mailing list
that would be willing to discuss this with me in private.
If there is someone out there willing to do this, I would be grateful. You
have my address to leave me a private message rather than trouble everyone's
mail box in this forum with our talk.
