I have only recently become familiar with the power of flow cytometry
in many applications. I am greatly interested in the flow cytometry
instrumentation that is available on the market today and perhaps some
"up-and-coming" technologies that may work their way into related
instrumentation in the future. I have made contact and spoken with
representatives from many of the major flow cytometer manufacturers
that sell in the U.S. (Coulter, B-D, Ortho, Cytomation, Bio-Rad,
Ratcom) and have learned a lot about the available instrumentation and
some of the newer technologies. However, I'm sure that there are other
manufacturers and especially some individual labs that must be doing
some interesting work with different light sources (laser diodes?),
detection schemes, miniaturization, etc. I would appreciate any help
in identifying these organizations. Please reply with the names
(individuals or organizations), phone numbers, addresses, etc. that
may lead me to more information in these areas. Thanks in advance!
