Hello all,

At ISAC in Lake Placid, about 25 of us met
to discuss our experiences using Cicero.
It was good to share our observations and
some solutions to common problems, but we
barely got started. We decided that this
bulletin board is the perfect way to keep
in touch. Steve Kelley has been good
enough to create our own mailbox:

cicero@flowcyt.cyto.purdue.edu

so that anyone can easily notify all who
care about quirky behavior.

Anyone who wants to climb into this mailbox
should write a note to

cicero-request@flowcyt.cyto.purdue.edu

Their name will be added and they will
receive future postings. If you know
someone who uses Cicero and is not "netted"
please throw a cup of virtual water in
their snoozy face and.. ohnevermind.

The brief meeting in Lake Placid showed us
that there are lots of "observations" to
share. Detailed analyses of problems are
surely most useful, but simple descriptions
are important too. This mailbox should be
a great way for us to find out about
trouble spots quickly, hear about possible
fixes or work-arounds and for Cytomation to
monitor the usefulness of various features.

Thanks to Steve,

in flux veritas (when you get it right)

Jack.
