One option is to use Joe Trotter's free WinMDI software, which I think
is quite superior to Lysys. This involves making your list mode data files
accessible to PC's running Windows (easy if your HP has ethernet
capability). Windows then provides a wide range of printer drivers, e.g.
for HP Deskjet color printers such as the 560C. I'd be interested to hear
what experience others here have with the HP Deskjet color printers. I've
been meaning to try some WinMDI output on ours but haven't gotten around to
it. PC Magazine recently quoted 7 minutes per page for highest resolution
color output. Hopefully, less resolution (similar to that of the Paintjet)
would be satisfactory for most purposes. Also, if one leaves the background
white, the speed should be better, I hope.
