HP to PC

Regarding HP to PC transfer;

We are currently using two different methods to move files between
our FACScan and a PC for off-line analysis. One is called HP Reader
from VERITY Software. It is a floppy disk reading program. Floppy
disks have the disadvantages of slow speed and limited file size.

Also from VERITY, we use WHPPC which is an IEEE-488 hardware
connection between the HP and PC. Data is transferred at near
Ethernet speeds (at least apparently) and file size is no problem.
However, to use WHPPC, the two computers must be physically close to
each other.

I hope this helps,
