Cy5

We have very autofluorescent cells (so have stopped trying to use FITC) and
we're hoping to try to label nuclear biotin with a mouse anti-biotin antibody
that's Cy5 labelled. We've been trying to use strep-PE, but I'm not sure if
it's able to penitrate the nucleus. We have only Argon lasers, but one is
tunable on our FACStarPlus. Should I use 514 nM or just the regular 488 nM to
get the strongest signal? The emission should be around 580 nM?
