A much simpler solution was suggested to this problem (forgive me, but I
can't seem to locate the name of the 'suggestor'). Part of the problem lies
in the *location* of the sheath tank. Raising the tank from the floor to
(ideally) the height where the middle of the tank is level with the flow
nozzle. (I think the tubing needs to be rerouted as well.) Reportedly, this
action alone improved long sorts on the FACS Vantage (which uses 7.6L tanks).

P.S. Have you talked to anyone at BD about this problem? There are people
there that are aware of the problem, and may have other solutions that you
can try. (Just to put him on the spot...) try Steve Burke, 408-954-2048.
