commercial lysing reagents

I'm requesting comments on the use of commercial whole blood lysing reagents
for use in phenotyping bone marrow aspirates. Specifically, I'd like to know
if anyone has used a system whose success is not dependent on which vendor's
cytometer the samples are analyzed on.
Thank you in advance.
