Hello Flow Users:

I'm interested in finding out what types service contracts people have on
their flow cytometers. This may be of interest to all in these times of
government cutbacks and competitive grants.

If you're interested in participating in this unofficial informal survey
please respond to the following questions:

(1) What is the instrument, and is it used for research or clinical
applications? (2) How many hours a week it is being used? (3) Is the service
contract for full or partial coverage? (4) Is there any alternative service
coverage offered by firms other your instruments manufacturer? (5) Do you
have seperate coverage for items such as lasers and computers? (6) How many
operators have biomedical engineering or electronics training in order to
repair their own instruments? (7) How many operators are going it alone with
no coverage? (8) How would you feel about going without coverage? Pros? Cons?

If I get enough of a response I'll reply back with the answers. The names
will be changed to protect the innocent, unless of course you want your name
printed.

Thanking you in advance!
