HPtoMac is a software application for copying data files from 3.5" Hewlett Packard diskettes onto the hard disk of your Macintosh.

About HPtoMac

If you have a Becton Dickinson flow cytometer which operates with a Hewlett Packard computer, you need to copy the acquired data files from the hard disk or other storage device into your Macintosh computer. HPtoMac is a free software application which can read Hewlett Packard 3.5" diskettes in the disk drive of your Macintosh.

Getting HPtoMac

For your convenience, the zipped HPtoMac application is located in the SOFTFLOW\HPTOMAC directory.

In addition, you can reach our WWW page at http://www.wavefront.com/~soft-flow if you are currently on the Internet. This WWW site contains the latest version of HPtoMac in zipped (compressed) format. You can download HPtoMac file via Internet just by clicking:

hptomac.zip
This file appears on your hard disk. In order to make executable HPtoMac application file you need to un-zip (extract) the zipped information with the ZipIt or UnZip programs.

Convert HPtoMac

The zipped HPtoMac file can be extracted - among others - with the ZipIt or UnZip Macintosh programs.

The extracted files, a short 'Readme' file, the HPtoMac communication software and the 'Soft Flow License Agreement' file, appear in a folder entitled "HPtoMac folder". HPtoMac is the executable application file, ready for usage.

Copy these files onto a floppy disk for archival purposes.

The ZipIt software application is enclosed in the SOFTFLOW\ZIPIT directory in hqx format.

ZipIt126.hqx
The ZipIt126.hqx is saved in binhex 4 format.

In order to have an executable ZipIt software, you should extract the ZipIt126.hqx file with the DeHQX conversion software.

License Agreement

PRINT and READ the 'Soft Flow License Agreement' before you use HPtoMac. Soft Flow License Agreement is a text file in your HPtoMac folder which can be read with any word processing software application.

You can freely distribute HPtoMac for no charge. However, you may NOT lease, sublicense or sell the software for profit. It is prohibited to decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble or otherwise reduce HPtoMac to a human perceivable form. You may not make any attempt to discover the source code of the software or to modify any part of the software.
