Hi
I am Amine, i am mesuring plant DNA content.

Thanks

Looking for some
help here. Although I have a lot of experience in running DNA content on
mammalian cells I have been asked to look into staining bacilli. The samples I
will recieve will have differing DNA content, which I need to use to put a
number to each cell type. The method suggested was with Hoecht 33342, but
we do not have a UV laser. The methods I have cobbled together are 1) Fix and
stain with PI, or 2) Stain with syto-9 (part of Invitrogen's Live/Dead
discrimination kit. I just wondered if anyone did this sort of thing routinely,
and if they had a protocol I might try.
Thanking in advance
for your input,
Eric
