Dear Rudjer,

I assume from the context of your message that you mean, what is the
structural difference between IgG isotypes, rather than allotype? A
comparison of the amino acid differences between different rat, mouse, and
human sequences can be obtained from my website as

http://www.path.cam.ac.uk/~mrc7/lecturenotes/handout1a.pdf

The table is adapted from a published review of mine

Clark, M (1997), Chemical Immunology 65, 88-110 Antibody Engineering IgG
Effector Mechanisms

Which can be downloaded from my website as a preprint (sorry I don't have
reprints available electronically)

http://www.path.cam.ac.uk/~mrc7/publications/preprints/PP1997CI65_88.pdf

This review references our earlier work

Bruggemann et al, J. Immunol (1989) 142: 3145-3150

which covers the structural and some of the functional differences of the
rat subclasses.

Cheers,

Mike
